Reader’s Question.

Does uninsured driver insurance policy cover property damage that is not for a car? I mean an uninsured person damages in my yard and wrecked my property.

Sam

San Antonio, TX

There are some states that offer uninsured driver coverage for property damage. You will need to check with your TX insurance policy to verify if you have that coverage. Otherwise, normal uninsured driver coverage is extra medical coverage only. This latter insurance coverage will not cover your wrecked property. If you do not have the uninsured motorist coverage for your property, you may want to seek legal advice against the uninsured motorist who damaged your property.
